How to choose the perfect collar material for your adventures ?!

How to choose the perfect collar material for your adventures ?!

Because all of us are unique, so are our dogs, our adventure and in extension our dog gear and accessories !

Paracord collars :

Pro:

  • Super strong and sturdy
  • very customizable - colors, style, width, thickness - they come in a wide variety of models and braids
  • martingale style closing is for me the best and most durable collar type
  • Very durable
  • Loosens a bit over time, gets more soft as worn

Con:

  • Cobra style closing is not adjustable at all
  • Would not recommend to be worn all the time especially for outside dogs, or dogs that get wet a lot

Biothane collars :

Pro:

  • WATERPROOF, STINKPROOF and MUDPROOF
  • Lightweight and VERY easy to clean
  • a Unique design can be added
  • Adjustable in any form

Con:

  • Only as strong as its weakest link ( rivets in this case )

Hexa Bio collars :

Pro:

  • WATERPROOF, STINKPROOF and MUDPROOF
  • Lightweight and VERY easy to clean
  • Adjustable in any form ( belt type or Cobra style buckle )
  • Flexible
  • more afordable than standard Biothane

Con:

  • Only as strong as its weakest link ( rivets in this case )
  • Not good for dogs that chew

Cord collars :

Pro:

  • Lightweight and Easy to clean
  • very customizable - colors, style, width, thickness
  • martingale style closing is for me the best and most durable collar type. This collar can be a martingale or have an adjustable closing

Con:

  • The collar itself is not the most sturdy collar we have. The way the collar is made, tho with care and safety in mind - still would not be recommended.
